There are currently more than 217,000 public sector employees affected by provisional or ratified agreements concluded under the mandate. The Union of Persons receiving Compensation was certified in May 1974. About two-thirds of the 2,100 members work in the lower part of the continent. There are offices in Richmond, Burnaby, North Vancouver, Coquitlam, Surrey and Abbotsford. The rest of the members work in regional offices in Victoria, Nanaimo, Courtenay, Kelowna, Kamloops, Nelson, Prince George, Fort St. John and Terrace. The CEU is a comprehensive bargaining unit that represents all workers on the Workers` Compensation Board who are not excluded by law.
